Context
The Wilmington Public Library is renowned for bringing global cultural icons to the city. For Keke Palmer’s first-ever appearance in Delaware, I collaborated with the library’s senior staff to provide dedicated press coverage for her Master of Me book tour.
Objective
Provide fast, press-ready editorial coverage of a high-profile cultural event. The library had a strict timeline and needed the final visual assets and the accompanying written recap delivered and scheduled within 48 hours to capitalize on the weekend's momentum.
The Approach
High-profile events often come with strict operational parameters. I was restricted to highly specific press zones, limiting my vantage points. I leaned into these constraints, maximizing my angles to capture dynamic, expressive portraits of Keke on stage. I paired these visuals with an editorial write-up focusing on her evolution from childhood star to empowered adult—a narrative crafted specifically to resonate with the library’s target demographic.
Impact
The full editorial package was delivered and scheduled under the 48-hour deadline. The speed and caliber of the deliverables deeply impressed the senior staff, with the Director of Marketing noting, "Your quality of work will take you very far." The campaign generated a surge in social media engagement, widespread reshares from the venue’s team, and a direct boost to my own editorial subscriber base.
